The Island Chordsmen Plus is a chorus of men and women singing Barbershop-style music in the male vocal range.  We are the official San Juan Island chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society.  So, what's in it for YOU?

Lots of good old-fashioned a capella singing, nice friendly folks, some laughter, some performing, a good party now and then...it's all a part of being a member of Island Chordsmen Plus.  We get together every Thursday evening, 7-9pm, year 'round.  We meet either at the High School in the Drama Room or at the Village at Friday Harbor in the Activity Room.  You are always welcome to be our guest; drop in for an evening, or come and join us.

Our performances are fairly casual except for one big show the first Sunday in June.  The Barbershop Bonanza is a different show every year, but always featuring some of the finest Barbershop performers in the world.  Past guests have been RealTime, International Champion Quartet; Friendly Advice, Senior Champion Quartet, Mt. Baker Toppers, an award-winning chorus from Bellingham, and many other fine ensembles.  We frequently perform mini-concerts at local convalescent and residential care facilities, civic group meetings, community sings, and parties (on request).

The most fun we have is on Valentine's Day.  For a donation, we provide love songs, and rose, and Valentine greetings to the sweetheart of your choice.  Imagine having an entire chorus crowd into your office, crooning old-fashioned love songs to you!  Or serenading your Valentine dinner in one of our fine San Juan Island restaurants?
